Do you care what people think and say about you?

I care a lot about what people say about me. I get criticized a lot for being "ugly" although, I don't think that there is anything wrong with me. People give me such a hard time for this. I am an african american woman and I only deal with this criticism from people of my own race. A lot of the time when I am out in public they feel a need to embarrasse in front of other people by constantly making disrespectful remarks about my physical appearance. This is not just from younger black people either. Most of these people are in their 30's and older. It just makes me feel so uncomfortable being around my own race.
